信頼できる歯医者さんの目印「外来環」とは？

数年前に、治療器具の使いまわしが問題になったことがありました。
原田歯科クリニックではありえないことですが、そんなことをしている歯医者さんがあるのも事実です。

では、安全で信頼できる歯医者さんを探すにはどうすれば良いのでしょうか？

指標のひとつとなるのが「外来環（がいらいかん）」と呼ばれるものです。
これは「歯科外来診療環境体制加算」の略で、以下の条件を満たす歯科医院が社会保険事務局に届け出を行うことで、受け取ることができる保険点数です。

・歯科医師が指定された安全対策に関する研修を終了している。
・歯科衛生士が勤務している。
・救命救急の器具や薬剤などが常備されている。（AED、血圧計、パルスオキシメーター、生体モニター、酸素、救急蘇生用品）
・口腔外バキュームを設備している。（顔の前でゴーッという音を立る掃除機のような器具。口の中の水を吸引するバキュームではない。）
・器具の滅菌等、院内感染防止対策をしっかり行っている。（歯を削る道具を患者さんごとに滅菌することなど）
・感染症を持った患者さんに対応できる設備とシステムを整備している。

外来環を申請している歯科医院は、自分たちの関係省庁の機関である社会保険事務局に対して「上記の体制を整えています」ということを、保証し、申請しているということです。
患者さんからみれば、安心・安全な治療体制を整えている歯科医院を見つける指標となります。

もちろん原田歯科クリニックもこの「外来環」の施設基準を満たしています。

スマホの使い過ぎで歯が欠ける？

実家に帰省した際、熊肉の煮込みや赤飯を食べ、懐かしい気持ちになりました。
北海道では、熊肉といえばヒグマの肉がメジャーです！
母の作ってくれる料理は最高です♪

近年、歯列接触癖を抱える方が増えています。

歯列接触癖というのは、食事以外の時間に上下の歯が接触し続けてしまうことをいいます。
具体的には、1日に20分以上、上下の歯が触れている状態です。
正常な場合は、1日の中で上下の歯が触れているのは17.5分ほどです。

歯列接触癖になると、小さな力で歯を触れさせ続けるうちに、顎に負担が溜まります。
中にはギュッと歯を食いしばったり、寝ている間の歯ぎしりのようにギリギリと歯をこすり合わせたりする方もいます。
強い力で噛み合わせると歯には普段の5倍以上の圧力がかかり、最悪の場合、奥歯にヒビが入るなどの症状が出てしまいます。
ひどくなると噛み合わせの違和感や歯の痛み、顎関節症といった症状が起きることもあります。

ストレスや緊張状態が続くことによって引き起こされることが多いですが、近年ではスマホの操作に集中しすぎて歯を食いしばっているという方もいます。
また、横になったり体を傾けたりした状態でスマホを操作すると、知らないうちに歯が接触しているというケースもあります。

スマホを操作するときには、歯が触れていると感じるたびに力を抜いて歯を離すように心掛けましょう。
次第に症状が改善していきますよ♪

歯みがき好きな子どもにしよう！初めての歯みがき

ようやく涼しくなって、外出も気持ちよく、夜も過ごしやすくて嬉しいです。
秋の味覚もたくさん出てきてほっこりします。

虫歯や口腔トラブルのないお口を保つには正しい歯みがき習慣が不可欠です。
そのためには、赤ちゃんの頃から歯みがきを好きになるよう慣らしていきましょう♪

赤ちゃんの歯みがきは、乳歯が生えたタイミングで始めるべきと言われています。
ただ、赤ちゃんの口の中はデリケートで、歯ブラシを使用すると口の中を傷つけてしまう可能性がありますので、まずはガーゼ磨きからはじめましょう！

歯みがき好きな子どもにするためのガーゼ磨きのポイントは５つあります。

１．抱っこして赤ちゃんをリラックスさせる
２．嫌がったら中止する
３．うまくできたらたくさん褒める
４．優しく磨いてあげる
５．ガーゼは使い捨てる

乳歯が生えたての赤ちゃんは、機嫌がコロコロ変わってしまいますので、無理に時間を決めたり続けようとせず、お父さんお母さんもリラックスしてのぞんでくださいね！
赤ちゃんと一緒に、楽しく歯みがき習慣をつけていきましょう♪

秋といえば、食欲の秋！ということで、歯を強くする秋の味覚をご紹介します！

歯を強くする食材というと歯の石灰化を促すカルシウムを含むものが挙げられますが、石灰化の調整役であるビタミンDや、石灰化の材料となるリンを含む食材も歯を強くするといわれています。
また歯の構造の一つであるエナメル質や象牙質の土台となるビタミンAやC、歯の構成に不可欠なたんぱく質も歯を丈夫にしてくれます。

サンマやサバ、イワシなどにカルシウムやビタミンDが豊富です。
☆大豆食品
カルシウムやたんぱく質が豊富です。

ボトックスで歯を長持ちさせる！

こんにちは、歯科医師の北澤です。

だいぶ気温も下がり、外で動きやすくなってきました。
スポーツの秋という感じで、散歩やランニングを楽しんでいます。

歯科で予防が重要！ということが叫ばれて、日本人の歯の寿命はどんどん延びています。
しっかり歯磨き、フッ化物塗布、定期的なクリーニング、などなど予防に取り組む歯科医院が探せばすぐに見つかる時代になりました。
素晴らしいことだと思います。

しかし、咬む力をコントロールして歯の寿命を延ばす取り組みは、まだまだ一般的になったとは言えません。
日本人が歯を失う原因の3位は歯が割れることです。（1位歯周病、2位虫歯）
歯が割れるにも様々な原因が絡み合って割れるわけですが、咬む力が異常に強ければそれだけ割れるリスクは高くなります。

過去にも咬む力が強すぎて歯が割れる、詰め物が外れたり欠ける、歯がしみるなどの問題が起きている方は将来的に問題を繰り返す可能性は高いです。
まだ問題になっていなくても、歯科医師が顔や口の中を見ればどのくらい咬む力が強いかはある程度推測できます。
そういった咬む力が強い方に対して、咬む力をコントロールして歯の寿命を延ばすことが必要だと考えます。

根本的な解決は咬む力を弱めればよいわけで、それにはボトックスという薬剤を顎の咬む筋肉に注射をして、咬む力を半分から1/3くらいに弱めます。
それだけで歯や、歯を支える骨などへの影響は小さくなります。
ご飯が食べられなくなるんじゃ？と心配される方もいますが、スルメを咬めるだけの力は残ります。

今後、歯の寿命をさらに長くするために、必要な人にボトックス注射をすることが当たり前になればいいなと思います。

実家の犬☆奥歯の大切さ

先日、友人の結婚式があり岩手県に行ってきました。実家の犬にもあえて、とっても癒やされました♡本当に愛犬は可愛すぎます(*^^*)

といっている私、実は動物アレルギーなので、アレルギー反応が出ると、くしゃみが止まらなかったり目が痒くてしんどいのですが、ついつい可愛いので、たくさん触ってしまします（笑）

今日は、奥歯と食事の関係についてお話します。

お食事をするためには歯が本当に大切です

例えば奥歯を２本失って、しばらく放っておくとお食事でしっかり噛むことが出来ないので身体への影響も出てきてしまいます。奥歯を失ってしっかり噛むことが困難になると、柔らかく糖質の多い食事についつい偏ります。

その為、ブドウ糖の負荷が増加し、カロリーオーバーになりやすいです。

健康のためや適度なダイエットが必要なのであれば、バランスよくお肉や野菜をよく噛んで食べられるように、奥歯の治療もしっかりしましょう！

中高生の50％以上が悩んでいること…

あなたは歯並びに自信がありますか？

「歯並びに自信がない」という人の中には、思春期の頃から思い悩んでいたという人もいるのではないでしょうか？

実は、中高生の50％以上に、歯並びや噛み合わせに関する問題があったという調査結果があります。
思春期の子どもたちの半数以上が歯並びのことで悩んでいるということですね。
しかも、歯並びについて悩みがある中高生の中で、幼い頃に矯正治療を受けたことがあると答えた人は全体の4分の1にも満たないとされています。

たしかに歯列矯正は、治療の期間が長く、費用も高額で、気軽に受けることができないという特徴があります。
しかし、悪い歯並びは見た目の問題もさることながら、腰痛や肩こりの原因になったり、歯みがきがしづらくなるということから歯周病や虫歯のリスクが高まるなどの悪影響があるものです。

さらに、成人してからの歯列矯正は、子どもの頃よりも時間がかかってしまいます。
そのため、歯並びの治療に踏み切るのは、できるだけ小さなうちがいいと言えるでしょう。

成人してからも、子どもの頃に矯正治療を受けなかったことで歯並びについて悩んでいるという人はかなり多いです。
お子さんの歯並びについて、心配なことがあれば歯医者さんに相談してみましょう。
無理に矯正をしなくても良い場合もあるかもしれません。

レントゲン撮影で何が分かるの？

中井貴一さん主演の「記憶にございません」という映画を観ました。
同じ年代の方が多く、安心して観ることが出来ました♪
笑える映画でとってもおもしろかったです！

レントゲン撮影では、いろいろなことがわかります！

歯科医師が口の中を覗いて診察すると、歯の表面などの変化を確認することはできますが、歯の内側で起こっている炎症などを見つけることができません。
そして口腔内の疾患は、肉眼では確認できない場所で起こっているのがほとんどです。
そのため、ただ肉眼で確認するだけでは、歯の内側や歯の間、詰め物や被せ物の内側で起こっている炎症などを見落としてしまう可能性があります。
そこで使用されるのがレントゲンです。

レントゲン撮影をすることで、直接見ることのできない場所までくまなくチェックすることができるようになります。

・虫歯の進行状況
・歯根の状態
・歯槽骨（しそうこつ）の状態
・詰め物などが適合しているかどうか

レントゲン撮影をすることで、口腔内の状態をより正確に確認することができるようになります。
人体への影響もほとんどありませんので、歯科医師にレントゲン撮影を提案されたときは、安心して受けるようにしてくださいね。

By taking X-rays, it becomes possible to check the state of the oral cavity more accurately.
