バリ旅行☆乳歯のむし歯

行き先はインドネシアのバリです！

自然いっぱいの場所でゆっくり過ごしたり、いろいろ学んで帰ってきました。

ドライマウスで歯を失う？！

「ドライマウス」という言葉、聞いたことある方は多いと思います。
では、ドライマウスが、「体にどのような影響を与えるか」ということはご存知でしょうか。

ドライマウスは、お口の中の水分がなくなり、乾燥している状態をいいます。

お口の中は、耳の穴や鼻の穴、生殖器と同様、粘膜に保護されていなければいけないところです。
ということは、乾燥している状態は「異常事態」であることが想像できます。

ドライマウスになると、お口の中を菌から保護する機能や歯の再石灰化を促す機能が低下することから、口内炎や口角炎になりやすくなったり、虫歯や歯周病を悪化させる可能性があります。

また、乾燥から発音しづらい、食べ物が飲み込みづらいなど、日常生活に支障をきたすような症状もあります。
もし、虫歯や歯周病が悪化すれば歯を失うことも考えられるのです。

そこで大事なのが、唾液の存在です。

口が乾燥しやすい方は、意識して唾液を出すように心掛けましょう。

具体的には・・・

・唾液を出すツボを押す
・ガムを噛む
・意識して口を閉める
・口のマッサージをする

など、日常生活のなかで意識してみてください。

もし、お口の乾燥の症状が続いたり悪化する場合には、歯医者さんに相談に行きましょう！

歯医者さんの麻酔にはどんなものがあるの？

矯正を始めることになりました。
きれいな歯並びになるのが楽しみです♪

歯医者さんでは虫歯をとる治療のほか、歯の神経を抜いたり親知らずなどを抜歯したりすることもあります。
そこで麻酔をするわけですが、口腔内の粘膜は皮膚よりも痛点が多いため、注射針を刺すとチクリとした痛みを感じやすく、歯医者さんでの麻酔は苦手だ、と感じる人も多いでしょう。
しかし、麻酔がきちんと効いていれば痛みを感じずに済むため、その後の歯科治療はグッと楽になります。
麻酔は、治療をスムーズに進めるための重要な処置なのです。

その麻酔にはどんな方法があるのでしょうか？

１．表面麻酔

表面麻酔は局所麻酔の一種で、歯茎の表面に薬剤を塗り込んで痛みを消します。
これは、麻酔を注射で注入する際の痛みを和らげるためのものです。

２．浸潤麻酔

最も多く用いられる、注射針で麻酔を注入するタイプものは、浸潤麻酔と呼ばれます。
浸潤麻酔は虫歯の治療や抜歯のほか、口腔内の手術をするときにも使用可能です。

他に、浸潤麻酔がなかなか効いてこない場合に使用する歯根膜注射や、激しい痛みが予想されるときに使用する伝達麻酔があります。

また、これらの麻酔はリドカインと呼ばれる局所麻酔薬が使われる事が多いです。
リドカインは産婦人科で無痛分娩の際にも使われる麻酔薬なので、妊娠中の方や授乳中の方であっても使用可能です。

麻酔が十分に効いた頃を見計らって治療を進めますが、中には麻酔が効きにくい方もいます。
治療中に「麻酔があまり効いていない」「痛みがある」と感じたときには、我慢せずに医師に伝えましょう。
痛みがひどいときには麻酔を追加したり、治療方法を変えたりすることもできます。

くさい口臭の元！舌苔を除去するには？！

「舌の表面に白いものが付着している」と気になったことはありませんか？
舌の表面にある白いものは「舌苔（ぜったい）」と呼ばれるものです。
鏡の前で口を開けて舌を出したとき、舌が真っ白になっている、または黄色っぽくなっているという方は要注意。
通常ならば舌は赤いのですが、舌苔が蓄積すると舌は汚れてしまいます。

舌苔の大きな原因の1つである細菌は、乾燥した状態を好みます。
普段の生活で口を開けているクセがある人や寝ているときに口呼吸をしている人は、口腔内の乾燥が起きやすいため舌苔も蓄積しやすくなります。
また、ストレスや加齢によって唾液の分泌量が減り、口腔内の乾燥が進んで舌苔が増えるケースも少なくありません。

口臭を無くすためには、舌磨きをして舌苔を取り除くことが大切です。

もちろん舌磨きだけでなく、毎日丁寧な歯磨きを心がけることも肝心です。
口腔内の汚れや歯石が気になる、舌苔の蓄積が気になるという場合には、歯医者さんに相談するのもおすすめです！

お肌の主成分であるコラーゲンが、弾力やハリに影響を与えていることは広く知られています。

が、実はそのコラーゲンが「歯茎」でも重要な成分であることをご存知ですか？

最近なんだか「歯茎が下がってきた」と感じている人がいたら、それはコラーゲンが関わっているかもしれません。

歯茎が下がる主原因は炎症による歯槽骨の吸収です。

毎日しっかり歯磨きしているのに、着色汚れや歯垢で歯の黄ばみが気になるという方は多いのではないでしょうか。

そんな方に、歯科医院で行う「エアフロー」という頑固な着色汚れをジェット噴流で吹き飛ばす方法があります。

エアフローとは、特殊なパウダーを混ぜた水を、高圧エアー洗浄で歯に吹き付けて、歯の表面にこびりついたしつこい着色汚れを除去し、歯を清掃する方法です。

私の一眼レフのカメラストラップは、CANONと書いてあるものでしたが、数年前にカメラコーナーで見つけたストラップが可愛かったので、それをついに買っちゃおう♫と思い、探しましたが、販売してませんでした・・

なので１００均で似たような柄の生地をGETして、今のストラップに縫い合わせてみました。手作り感満載ですが、かわいい生地なので大満足です＼(^o^)／

こんなかんじで今年も小さなことから大きなことまで、やりたい事をどんどん叶えて、いろんなことに挑戦できる１年にします！！

歯の変色。実は乳歯の神経が壊死していた！

千葉駅近くにあるカレー屋さん「RASOI」でシュリンプバターマサラを食べました♪
すっごく美味しいので、カレー好きな方は是非行ってみてください！

小さい子どもは、転倒したときにとっさに手が前に出ず、歯をぶつけてしまうことがあります。
ある統計によると、乳歯の外傷の発生率は20％にも及ぶといわれています。

歯を強打すると、そこが脱臼のようになります。
脱臼した歯はすぐに固まり、グラグラすることもなくくっつきますが、脱臼した時に中の神経が壊死しまうことがあります。
歯の中で内出血をしてしまった場合や、ぶつけた衝撃で神経が死んでしまった場合、歯の色が変わってしまうこともあります。

変色はぶつけてから２～４週後に現れることが多く、神経が壊死した場合はグレーに変わってくることが多いようです。

「神経の壊死」と聞くとびっくりすると思いますが、子どもの症状としては、よくあることです。

年齢によって、積極的に治療を行うほうがいいのか、それとも経過観察のほうがいいのか、歯医者さんと相談しましょう。

単に打って神経が死んでしまって、歯の根っこが細菌に感染していない様子であれば、永久歯に影響は出ないので、そのまま経過観察ということも考えられます。

一番まずいのは根っこの治療を始めるだけ始めて、歯の裏に穴を開けた状態から、治療を嫌がって中断することです。

お子さんの歯の変色が気になるとき、前歯を強く打った心当たりがあるときは、まず歯医者さんに相談してみましょう。

えっ？生えてきた永久歯が黄ばんでいる…

お子さんのお口の中をチェックしたとき、「乳歯は真っ白だったのに、生え変わった歯が黄ばんでいるように見えて心配……」なんて思っていませんか？

でもご安心ください。

実は、一般的に永久歯は乳歯よりも黄色っぽい色をしているものなのです。

では、なぜ永久歯は黄ばんで見えるのでしょう？

私たちに見えている部分の歯は、象牙質をエナメル質が覆っています。
このエナメル質は無色で半透明ですが、覆われている象牙質がもともと黄色っぽい色をしているため、基本的に歯は少し黄ばんで見えるという特徴があります。
さらに象牙質は、厚みがあるほど黄色っぽくなるので、乳歯に比べて象牙質が厚い永久歯は、より黄ばんで見えるというわけなのです。
とくに生え変わりの時期は、乳歯と永久歯が混ざって生えているため比較しやすく、永久歯の黄ばみがいっそう気になることもあるでしょう。

しかし、歯の汚れやプラークによって黄ばんでしまうこともあります。
また、虫歯が原因で黄ばんで見えることも。

生え変わりの時期は、お口の中で乳歯と永久歯が混在しているため歯の高さにバラつきがあり、どうしても食べカスなどが溜まりやすくなるものです。
歯に付着した茶渋や食べ物の色素は、時間が経つと簡単には落とせなくなります。
そのためフロスなどを併用して毎日の歯みがきを徹底し、きちんと汚れを落とすことが大切です。

さらに、歯科医院で受けられる専門的な歯のクリーニングは、ご自宅でのケアだけでは落としきれない汚れもキレイに除去できますので、定期的に受けるのがおすすめです。
