くさい口臭の元！舌苔を除去するには？！

「舌の表面に白いものが付着している」と気になったことはありませんか？
舌の表面にある白いものは「舌苔（ぜったい）」と呼ばれるものです。
鏡の前で口を開けて舌を出したとき、舌が真っ白になっている、または黄色っぽくなっているという方は要注意。
通常ならば舌は赤いのですが、舌苔が蓄積すると舌は汚れてしまいます。

舌苔の大きな原因の1つである細菌は、乾燥した状態を好みます。
普段の生活で口を開けているクセがある人や寝ているときに口呼吸をしている人は、口腔内の乾燥が起きやすいため舌苔も蓄積しやすくなります。
また、ストレスや加齢によって唾液の分泌量が減り、口腔内の乾燥が進んで舌苔が増えるケースも少なくありません。

口臭を無くすためには、舌磨きをして舌苔を取り除くことが大切です。

もちろん舌磨きだけでなく、毎日丁寧な歯磨きを心がけることも肝心です。
口腔内の汚れや歯石が気になる、舌苔の蓄積が気になるという場合には、歯医者さんに相談するのもおすすめです！

お肌の主成分であるコラーゲンが、弾力やハリに影響を与えていることは広く知られています。

が、実はそのコラーゲンが「歯茎」でも重要な成分であることをご存知ですか？

最近なんだか「歯茎が下がってきた」と感じている人がいたら、それはコラーゲンが関わっているかもしれません。

歯茎が下がる主原因は炎症による歯槽骨の吸収です。
しかし、歯茎に弾力を与えることにコラーゲンが関係するため、実はコラーゲンの減少も歯茎下がりの原因になります。

特殊なパウダーで歯を本来の白さに！

毎日しっかり歯磨きしているのに、着色汚れや歯垢で歯の黄ばみが気になるという方は多いのではないでしょうか。

そんな方に、歯科医院で行う「エアフロー」という頑固な着色汚れをジェット噴流で吹き飛ばす方法があります。

エアフローとは、特殊なパウダーを混ぜた水を、高圧エアー洗浄で歯に吹き付けて、歯の表面にこびりついたしつこい着色汚れを除去し、歯を清掃する方法です。
使用するパウダーは炭酸水素ナトリウムで、重曹と呼ばれるものです。

今年の目標も何個か決めましたが、さっそくやりたいことの一つをかなえました☆

私の一眼レフのカメラストラップは、CANONと書いてあるものでしたが、数年前にカメラコーナーで見つけたストラップが可愛かったので、それをついに買っちゃおう♫と思い、探しましたが、販売してませんでした・・

なので１００均で似たような柄の生地をGETして、今のストラップに縫い合わせてみました。手作り感満載ですが、かわいい生地なので大満足です＼(^o^)／

こんなかんじで今年も小さなことから大きなことまで、やりたい事をどんどん叶えて、いろんなことに挑戦できる１年にします！！

歯の変色。実は乳歯の神経が壊死していた！

小さい子どもは、転倒したときにとっさに手が前に出ず、歯をぶつけてしまうことがあります。
ある統計によると、乳歯の外傷の発生率は20％にも及ぶといわれています。

歯を強打すると、そこが脱臼のようになります。
脱臼した歯はすぐに固まり、グラグラすることもなくくっつきますが、脱臼した時に中の神経が壊死しまうことがあります。
歯の中で内出血をしてしまった場合や、ぶつけた衝撃で神経が死んでしまった場合、歯の色が変わってしまうこともあります。

変色はぶつけてから２～４週後に現れることが多く、神経が壊死した場合はグレーに変わってくることが多いようです。

「神経の壊死」と聞くとびっくりすると思いますが、子どもの症状としては、よくあることです。

年齢によって、積極的に治療を行うほうがいいのか、それとも経過観察のほうがいいのか、歯医者さんと相談しましょう。

単に打って神経が死んでしまって、歯の根っこが細菌に感染していない様子であれば、永久歯に影響は出ないので、そのまま経過観察ということも考えられます。

一番まずいのは根っこの治療を始めるだけ始めて、歯の裏に穴を開けた状態から、治療を嫌がって中断することです。

お子さんの歯の変色が気になるとき、前歯を強く打った心当たりがあるときは、まず歯医者さんに相談してみましょう。

えっ？生えてきた永久歯が黄ばんでいる…

お子さんのお口の中をチェックしたとき、「乳歯は真っ白だったのに、生え変わった歯が黄ばんでいるように見えて心配……」なんて思っていませんか？

でもご安心ください。

実は、一般的に永久歯は乳歯よりも黄色っぽい色をしているものなのです。

では、なぜ永久歯は黄ばんで見えるのでしょう？

私たちに見えている部分の歯は、象牙質をエナメル質が覆っています。
このエナメル質は無色で半透明ですが、覆われている象牙質がもともと黄色っぽい色をしているため、基本的に歯は少し黄ばんで見えるという特徴があります。
さらに象牙質は、厚みがあるほど黄色っぽくなるので、乳歯に比べて象牙質が厚い永久歯は、より黄ばんで見えるというわけなのです。
とくに生え変わりの時期は、乳歯と永久歯が混ざって生えているため比較しやすく、永久歯の黄ばみがいっそう気になることもあるでしょう。

しかし、歯の汚れやプラークによって黄ばんでしまうこともあります。
また、虫歯が原因で黄ばんで見えることも。

生え変わりの時期は、お口の中で乳歯と永久歯が混在しているため歯の高さにバラつきがあり、どうしても食べカスなどが溜まりやすくなるものです。
歯に付着した茶渋や食べ物の色素は、時間が経つと簡単には落とせなくなります。
そのためフロスなどを併用して毎日の歯みがきを徹底し、きちんと汚れを落とすことが大切です。

さらに、歯科医院で受けられる専門的な歯のクリーニングは、ご自宅でのケアだけでは落としきれない汚れもキレイに除去できますので、定期的に受けるのがおすすめです。

ローソクの火が吹き消せないのは口腔機能が関係している？！

お祝いのホールケーキをみんなで囲み、年の数のローソクを吹き消す。
子どものお誕生日の、定番の光景ですね。

このお誕生日のローソクの火がうまく消せない子がいます。

年齢にもよりますが、ある程度の年齢の子がローソクの火が吹き消せないということは、口腔機能・口蓋機能がきちんと発達していないということが考えられます。
慢性口呼吸状態も併発していることが多いです。
さらに、アレルギー性疾患が起こっていることもあります。

ローソクの火を吹き消せない子どもは、他にも以下のようなことが同時に起こっている可能性があります。

・食事がよく噛めない
・飲み込みがうまくいかない
・クチャクチャ食べ
・口がぽかんと開いている

子どもの頃の習慣は、将来の歯の健康や口腔環境に大きく関わります。
口腔周囲の筋肉を鍛えるトレーニングもあります。
一度歯医者さんに相談することをおすすめします。

こんなに万能？！唾液のヒミツ

口の中で分泌されている「唾液」は、人が生きていく上で欠かすことのできない大切な役割を持っています。
また、口腔内のさまざまなトラブルは、唾液の分泌の減少と関係があるとも言われています。

唾液のもたらす良い効果は３つあります。

（１）虫歯菌の酸に溶かされた歯を修復する

唾液には、健康な歯を保つために必要なさまざまなミネラルが含まれています。
虫歯菌は、食後の歯に残っている食べ物のカスなどをエサにして繁殖し、その虫歯菌が排出する酸によって、歯のミネラル成分が流れ出し歯が溶けてしまいます。
しかし、唾液に含まれているミネラルによって、歯の再石灰化が促されるため、唾液の分泌が良いほど虫歯菌に溶かされた歯が修復されやすくなります。

（２）酸性に傾いた口の中を中和する

食後は虫歯菌が排出する酸によって、口の中が酸性に傾きやすくなります。
口の中が酸性のまま時間が経過すると、歯が溶け続けてしまうので虫歯になりやすくなります。
しかし、唾液は弱アルカリ性なので、酸を中和する働きを持っています。

（３）口の中を消毒して清潔に保つ

水を飲む時や食べ物を食べる時など、口の中には数多くの細菌が入り込みます。
細菌が口の中に入ってきたとしても、細菌の影響を受けずに済んでいるのは、唾液が口の中を殺菌してくれているからです。
唾液は、細菌の繁殖を抑える酵素を含んでいるため、病原性のある細菌に対して、抗菌作用を発揮してくれます。
また、口の中を怪我した場合に外部の怪我と比較すると修復が早いのは、唾液に抗菌作用があるからだと言われています。

当たり前のように口の中で分泌されている唾液は、実は有益な働きをいくつも持っています。
食事を摂る時によく噛んで食べるなどを心掛け、うまく唾液を分泌できるようにしましょう。
お口の中だけでなく、全身の健康をサポートすることができます！

Many bacteria enter the mouth when drinking water or eating food.
Even if bacteria enter the mouth, it is not affected by the bacteria because saliva sterilizes the mouth.
Saliva contains an enzyme that suppresses the growth of bacteria, so it has an antibacterial effect on pathogenic bacteria.
In addition, it is said that saliva has an antibacterial effect when it is injured in the mouth compared to external injuries.

The saliva secreted in the mouth, as a matter of course, actually has a number of beneficial functions.
Try to chew well when eating, so that you can secrete saliva well.
