先日行ったカフェのパンケーキがふわふわで
とても美味しかったです。
定期健診や歯周病治療で患者様を診ていると
「たばこのヤニが気になるので落してほしい。」、
「コーヒーで歯が茶色くなっているので取ってほしい。」
と言われることがあります。
年齢とともに歯の黄ばみや着色汚れが気になる方も多いでしょう。
今回は、歯の着色の原因や予防方法、
そして歯科医院でできる着色除去についてご紹介します。
色の濃い食べ物や飲み物はを頻繁に摂っていると、
歯が着色しやすくなります。
例えば、コーヒーや紅茶お茶などです。
また、たばこのヤニが歯の表面にこびりつき、
頑固な黄ばみの原因になります。
更に、歯の表面にプラーク（細菌の塊）が残っていると、
色素が付きやすくなります。
着色自体が虫歯の原因や歯周病の原因ではありませんが、
最近はマスクを外す機会も増え、歯が着色していることで
見た目を気にする方が増えたように感じます。
歯が着色して見た目が気になるようなら、
歯医者に来ていただき、「エアフロー」という
機械を使って落とすことができます。
どのような機械なのかというと、
細かいパウダーをジェット噴射で吹き付けることで、
歯の隙間や表面の着色を優しく除去できます。
日ごろから着色を防ぐためにできることは
ないでしょうか？
着色しやすい飲食物を摂取した後は、
早めに水でうがいをするか、
歯磨きをするのが効果的です。
また、使用する歯磨き粉は着色汚れ（ステイン）を
落としやすい成分が含まれているものを選びましょう。
①ポリリン酸ナトリウム：歯の表面の汚れを浮かせて除去する効果があります。
②ピロリン酸ナトリウム：着色の付着を防ぐ作用があります。
③ハイドロキシアパタイト：歯の表面をコーティングし、汚れが付きにくくなります。
歯磨き粉を購入する際は、裏面の成分表示を見て、
こういった成分が含まれているものを
選ぶと良いでしょう。
